I am putting together guidance for volunteers active in archaeological investigations, and it has been suggested to me that the document ought to summarise the key Health and Safety differences between paid and volunteer work (if there are any), and discuss what issues arise in instances of mixed teams of paid professionals and volunteers. As I have little recent experience of UK (not just England) H&S legislation, I am looking for any resources and guidance that explains health and safety for volunteers in the UK, and thus far have found http://www.volunteering.org.uk/NR/rdonlyres/07ACD302-27CC-41CA-A6EB-E8289E2E0DE7/0/HealthandSafetyforVolunteersVE08.pdf.
